How To Set Up Flashing Yellow Arrow Mode B On The MMU2-16LE For An ATSI Test

  1. When dialog box appears on PC “insert the program card for FYA EDI MODE B”
  2. Remove blank MMU card from MMU under test and insert FYA Mode B card programmed for 8 phase flashing yellow arrow
  3. Select OK on PC
  4. When the dialog box appears on the PC the MMU powers up and needs to be set up for the FYA portion of testing
  5. Select copy from program card
  6. Push next and then select “menu”
  7. Use next to get cursor to “set/view config” and select
  8. Use next to get to “Flashing Yellow Arrow” (near end of list) and select
  9. Select FYA MODE B
  10. Enable ChPair mode A
    1. ch 1-13=on
    2. ch 3-14=on
    3. ch 5-15=on
    4. ch 7-16=on
  11. Push exit
  12. Enable RY Inp Mode B
    1. Ch 1 R&Y input=off
    2. Ch 3 R&Y input=off
    3. Ch 5 R&Y input=off
    4. Ch 7 R&Y input=off
  13. Push Exit
  14. Flashrate fault=on
  15. FYA trap detect=on
  16. Select exit Hit Set and select
  17. Use next to get to “set-up wizard” and select
  18. Hit next to begin wizard
  19. Select unused channels (none for testing purposes) hit exit
  20. Select next
  21. Are ped don’t walk signals monitored? Select yes
  22. Use next to select channel and select to set monitoring (ch 9-12 set for ped monitoring)
  23. Hit exit
  24. Select next
  25. Select prot-perm turns (none for testing purposes)
  26. Hit exit
  27. Select next
  28. Review assignments
  29. Hit exit
  30. Select set
  31. Should see new perams set for : dual ind ,red fail, MYRC, & field check
  32. Hit exit three times
  33. Select OK on PC
  34. Test should complete with failure count =0
  35. Save PDF version of MMU certification report to file of choice on PC (make sure and note of the testing year in file heading)
  36. Attach MMU2 paper report to MMU (best to fold into quarters and tape to top of MMU)
