How do I reset network settings on the 2010ECLip, 2018ECLip or 2018KCLip signal monitors?

This article discusses resetting the network settings on your EDI signal monitor:

  • 2010ECLip
  • 2018ECLip
  • 2018KCLip

On the Caltrans monitor units there is a network reset header that will reset the unit back to the factory default. The factory default network settings are:

  • IP Address = 192.168.1.100
  • Subnet Mask =255.255.255.0

Procedure

To reset the unit back to factory default settings, refer to the lower left side of the unit and you will see a 2-pin header as outlined below.

  1. Connect these two pins together and plug the unit into a cabinet (or energize the monitor) and turn on the power to the unit.
  2. Once the unit is powered on, the yellow and green LEDs on the network connection should flash on and off simultaneously. This will let you know that the network circuit has been reset to factory settings.

If you have a DIGI branded network board, you will not be able to reset the unit. Contact EDI about a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) to receive an updated network board.
