[EDI] How do I set up my EDI MMU2-16LEip for a basic 8 phase intersection?

This video demonstrates how to configure a basic eight-phase intersection using the monitor's Setup Wizard. The process disables unused overlap channels, enables pedestrian monitoring, reviews protected left-turn settings, and applies the configuration.

1. Open the Setup Wizard

• Navigate to Menu → Setup Wizard.
• Review the Next, Select, and Exit key functions.
• Use the Help button to see which parameters the wizard will change.

2. Disable Unused Overlap Channels

• Turn off channels 13, 14, 15, and 16.
• These channels are configured as vehicle channels by default but are unused in this example.

3. Enable Pedestrian Signal Monitoring

• Select Yes when asked whether to monitor pedestrian signals.
• Assign the pedestrian monitoring to channels 9, 10, 11, and 12.
• Use Select to toggle each channel on or off and Next to move between channels.
• Configure all four channels for the pedestrian Walk and Don't Walk indications.

4. Configure Protected/Permissive Movements

• The wizard asks whether protective/permissive movements are used, such as left-turn or right-turn overlaps.
• For this example, all left turns are fully protected with red, yellow, and green indications.
• Do not enable the optional overlap channels for this configuration.

5. Review the Configuration

Confirm the setup represents:

• A basic eight-phase intersection.
• Protected left turns with red, yellow, and green indications.
• Pedestrian Walk and Don't Walk monitoring.
• Unused overlap channels 13–16 disabled.

6. Apply the Configuration

• Press Escape to reach the confirmation prompt.
• Select Set to apply the new parameters.
• Select Cancel to return to the previous question, or Exit to return to the beginning of the wizard.
