CPS2-TS2-LCD End-of-Life (EOL) Notice

Scope

This bulletin applies to any customer that uses a Reno CPS2-TS2-LCD.

Issue

End-of-Life of the Reno CPS2-TS2-LCD.

Identification

This is to explain the option for a substation of the CPS2-TS2-LCD to the PS-250.

Operational

The CPS2-TS2-LCD is a 5-amp power supply for 12 VDC and 24 VDC. The EDI PS-250 provides 5 amps at 12 VDC and 3 amps at 24 VDC. The lower amperage rating of the PS-250 on the 24-volt output may cause issues for customers or agencies using the power supply to run above-ground detection systems. Additionally, the PS-250 meets the more recent NEMA TS2-2016 standards, which enhances compliance and reliability, although it lacks the detailed LCD monitoring features of the CPS2-TS2-LCD.

Corrective Action

Please ensure that any auxiliary systems, particularly those requiring higher current at 24 VDC, are powered from an external source to avoid operational issues.
