How To Set Up Flashing Yellow Arrow Mode A On The MMU2-16LE For An ATSI Test

  1. When dialog box appears on PC “insert the program card for FYA EDI MODE A”, remove blank MMU card from MMU under test and insert FYA Mode A card programmed for 8 phase flashing yellow arrow.
  2. Select OK on PC.
  3. When the dialog box appears on the PC, the MMU powers up and needs to be set up for the FYA portion of testing. Push next and then select “menu”.
  4. Use next to get cursor to “set/view config” and select.
  5. Use next to get to “Flashing Yellow Arrow” (near end of list) and select.
  6. Select FYA MODE A
    • Enable ChPair mode A ch 1-9=on
    • Enable ChPair mode A ch 3-10=on
    • Enable ChPair mode A ch 5-11=on
    • Enable ChPair mode A ch 7-12=on
  7. Push exit.
  8. Enable RyInp Mode A
    • Ch 1 R&Y input=off
    • Ch 3 R&Y input=off
    • Ch 5 R&Y input=off
    • Ch 7 R&Y input=off
  9. Push Exit.
  10. Flashrate fault=on
  11. FYA trap detect=on
  12. Select exit, hit select, and hi light SET select.
  13. Use next to get to “set-up wizard” and select. Hit Next to begin wizard.
  14. Select unused channels (none for testing purposes) hit exit.
  15. Select next.
  16. Are ped don’t walk signals monitored? Select yes.
  17. Use next to select channel and select to set monitoring (ch 13-16 set for ped monitoring).
  18. Hit Exit. Select Next.
  19. Select prot-perm turns (none for testing purposes).
  20. Hit Exit. Select Next. Review assignments.
  21. Hit Exit. Select Set. You should see new perams set for : dual ind ,red fail, MYRC, & field check
  22. Hit exit three times.
  23. Select OK on PC. Test should complete with failure count=0.
  24. Save PDF version of MMU certification report to file of choice on PC (make sure and note of the testing year in file heading).
  25. Attach MMU2 paper report to MMU (best to fold into quarters and tape to top of MMU).
