How To Determine Manufacture Date With Serial Number

1. For units with the first two numbers of the serial number starting with 81 through 99, these units are considered obsolete and will not be processed.
2. The units with the first four digits are the date of manufacture in YYMM format on units manufactured, starting in “00” 2000 through 2018 (March).
3. Units manufactured from 2018 (March)-2024 will have an E or R in the serial number. We have a tool that will allow us to look up the serial numbers that start with E or R and any unit manufactured before that if they have been in for repair starting in 2019. Let us know the serial number for these if you have any and we can look them up for you.
4. First four digits are the date of manufacture in YYWW format on units manufactured starting 2024.
5. Units manufactured prior to 2006 (over 18 years old) are considered not serviceable.
