How do I determine the date of manufacture with my product serial number?
This article discusses how to decode the date of manufacture based on your product serial number.
- For units with the first two numbers of the serial number starting with 81 through 99, these units are considered obsolete and will not be processed.
- The units with the first four digits are the date of manufacture in YYMM format on units manufactured, starting in “00” 2000 through 2018 (March).
- Units manufactured from March 2018 to 2024 will have an E or R in the serial number.
- First four digits are the date of manufacture in YYWW format on units manufactured starting 2024.
